Yes I am a lazy arfcommer.  I am sure there are better forums to post this question but GD is always quick and easy:

Who makes a good semi auto .17 HMR?

Volquartsen

For a while, they held the world record for smallest group with a .17 hmr. Don't know if it still stands. Great rifles.

I have a Remington in .17 HMR that's a semi. I love it. I'll see if I can scrounge up pics.

I built one for a buddy out of a 10/22 magnum that was awesome.

I really wish he hadn't traded it to a lawyer for representation.

My Volquartsen is a tack driver.  I topped it with a Zeiss and that was the most I had ever spent on a scope,  but it deserved it.  They make a really fine product but you have to wait for them.

I want to say I used a Green Mountain bbl, and that was all.  His worked perfectly without any other mods.

That's a hot little round, you'll like it in whatever rifle you get.

Remington won't let you down.
