Neat little round. It's not a waste of time IMO as variety is the spice of life.

Flat shooting, accurate as hell and even more fun (IMHO) than .22LR.
I can't wait to get a chance to go P-Dog hunting with it some day.  I think my next custom build is going to be a 10/22 magnum conversion to .17HMR. |

To each his own, but I certainly don't feel insecure shooting a red-hot 17HMR. It is a very high performance round, and a ball to shoot.
To each his own, I guess, but I would recommend shooting it before forming an opinion. |
