Guys,
 I need some clarification. I  just bought a rifle with an M4 barrel w/ permanantly attached A2 FS.
The seller says it was a 6400C that was shortened professionally. He states that it is 14.75.

I dont have another 14.5 barrel here to compare with.

I measured 16" on a cleaning rod, marked it with a pen, and then placed it down the barrel resting on the closed bolt. The edge of the FS is 3/16" too short to reach the line.

Is this how to measure barrel length?
If so then I have a problem.
