What is that gizmo that's attached to the top of the handguards?  It looks like a radar detector. [:E]

See those EOTech heads up sights on those M4's. They have the lastest and greatest that's for sure. Why do those lasers on the forward handguards have to be so big? I know mil spec and all that but they sure must add some weight.

'Cause they're MILSPEC, IR Lasers, and they put out a little more light than the standard civilian 5mw.
