I assume you mean the ZM weapon's gas piston upper? I guess it could be done, lotsa fun to try!

Isn't that the whole reason behind the ZM upper? I have heard from folks that know Al Z that a good part of his sales are full auto/folding stock/no stock guns to gov agencys with three letter and four letter initials. I always assumed some of these guns had short or shorter barrels (sort of pistol) I will have to ask those who know him.
He (AL ZITTA) travels and shoots some of the USPSA and other action shooting events |

sure would be awesome to try. If I had enough money laying around I would try and assemble a collapsible stock that uses rods running parallel to the bore of the weapon on either side of the receiver.
