I've been funkin around "DFine" (made by Nik Effects I think), as well as tonal contrast settings, and getting some neat results on adding structure to images of metallic stuff. Kind of reminds me of Neopan 1600 @ 800 in Rodinal 1:50.

The only thing I can't seem to overcome is the "halo" effect produced around blurred or softened areas.

Here's some ones I've been playing with of my milled Yugo:

Olympus E-1, Zuiko 14-54mm @ 400

My first attempt, perhaps a bit overdone. Looks like those cheesy "film effect" grain-emulators. Too much filter, but a neat image nonetheless.

Olympus E-1 with Zuiko 24mm (OM lens)
