Youths turn on Obama
Shock poll reversal

By GEOFF EARLE, Post Correspondent

WASHINGTON –– Young voters who had been enthralled by Barack Obama's "Yes, we can" message are now saying "Maybe not" –– and are backing away from the president in a worrisome new poll for the White House.

Obama is losing in a match-up against a generic Republican challenger by 37 percent to 34 percent among voters in the 18-34 age group, according to a stunning Quinnipiac University poll released yesterday.

In March, voters in this group approved of Obama by 54 percent to 37 percent.

"The youngest age group may be the most impatient and the most easily disillusioned among all age groups," said Molly Andolina, a youth-vote expert and DePaul University political-science professor.

For many young voters in 2008, "it was the first time they'd been really been involved, really paying attention. This is someone telling them, 'Yes, you can,' " she said.

Two years later, with a prolonged Gulf oil spill, "watching how slow it is to respond may be a little disillusioning," she added.

Obama won an astounding 66 percent of the vote among the under-30 crowd, according to exit polls tracked by the Pew Research Center, the biggest winning percentage for a candidate since Richard Nixon in 1972.

In other poll results:

* Obama's overall approval rating is 44 percent, with 48 percent disapproval –– his worst score ever in the survey.

* The president trails an unnamed generic Republican among all voters by 39-36 percent.

* Voters disapprove of his handling of immigration by a stark 58-30 percent margin, with 60 percent saying the federal lawsuit against Arizona for its tough immigration crackdown is a bad idea.

* Obama beats Sarah Palin 49-45 percent in a 2012 match-up.

* Thirty-seven percent of voters say the country would be better off with John McCain as president, while 35 percent said it would be worse off.

Critically important independent voters continue to drift away from Obama, and disapprove of him by 52-38 percent.

A year ago, independents backed Obama 52-37.

Obama gets just 39 percent approval of his handling of the economy and 43 percent approval on handling of foreign policy.

Michelle Obama does much better. Her favorability rating is 55-19 percent.

Gee, I guess the obvious question I would ask  myself is why spend $100k on an education in hope of someday exceeding the federal poverty level just to vote for someone that wants to skyrocket taxes on anyone that exceeds the poverty level?u

Well, two things.

First of all           "For many young voters in 2008, "it was the first time they'd been really been involved, really paying attention. This is someone telling them, 'Yes, you can,' " she said. "

I doubt that. I don't think they were paying attention at all. If they were, they might have seen, realized the folly of electing someone with no management experience.

Secondly, I don't think their to turn on him like a  false god.

They probably still have no idea how royally fucked their economic prospects are just because the Democrats controlled Congress and Obama was president for a mere 2-3 years, thanks in part to their votes. And it's not their fault they've been fed a steady diet of lies from their liberal teachers and media all their young lives and voted accordingly.  But they have to pay for the rest of their lives for the liberals' deceit.

Then they should be encouraged to either note vote at all, or put their money and attention to forming a new, ultra liberal political party.  Short term, we need a good strong liberal candidate to run against Obama in the 2012 primaries.

I don't care why they don't like Obama, as long as they don't want to pry themselves away from twitter and their 9 dollar cup of coffee long enough to vote for him.

Yup, Barack Obama could be caught on camera performing an abortion while wearing a Karl Marx t-shirt, in a room with Hugo Chavez, Evo Moralez and Fidel Castro,  while simultaneously taking a shit on top of  the constitution being held by an underage hooker and still have the support of at least 30% of the U.S. voting population.

The black base is incredibly racist.  They will vote for a black candidate no matter what.  It's really astonishing.

There are racist hispanic and white voters too, but it's doesn't even BEGIN to approach that of the black base.

Surely someone smarter than me will one day find out why this is.

That's what happens when you feed people a steady diet of resentment, race-hate, victim-hood, multi-culturalism and "community organizing."  You end  up with a Balkanized society with perpetually-angry, self-segregating minorities.  It's anything but a recipe for peace, love, and understanding.

I'm only 20. I never turned on to him anyway. So being turned away was the first instinct. I was the just about the only one that was screaming about how it was all a grand deception. I really didn't hold the Republicans in high regard at the time either, and I still don't to this day. It's like two card monty.

Yeah I voted for the loser McCain. I think he deliberately threw the election, or that someone threw him the nomination when something happened almost overnight in the New Hampshire primary.

Take note of what's happening with Sherrod. She plays it up and gets the NAACP people laughing at her racist words, suddenly its out of context and she's getting rewarded with a promotion. Things like this keep Obama's minions on the train. Just remember Obama inherited the economic crisis that he's fueling and it Bush's fault the deficit is so high.

These are the same people that did things like key Obama into the hood of someone's car that had a McCain/Palin sticker on it.

I think that roughly 30% of ALL Americans are now 100% progressive/socialist/marxist/communist.  You can use that 30% number as a baseline number for voter support of all of Obama policies and ideologies.  So 34% is not suprising at all.

As long as women are taught to be irresponsible with their bodies and to explore their sexuality with men who aren't productive, but instead how they give them the gina tingles, it's not going to improve.

The argument that many women use to describe men as worthless and who needs one is a sham. The fact is the one's who are actively seeking relationships and have prepared for it are actually the one's who are being ignored by most women yet paying for it indirectly via taxes while thugs, so called alphas, and the dregs of society are fucking like rabbits. 10-20% of the males in society that are having sexual relations and impregnating women are being financed by upwards of 50% of the rest of the single male population who are in many cases completely celibate. Not good and we should expect that to boil over sometime in the near future.

The social contract between the sexes is now over. The video of the girl being pulled out of the restaurant is telling of that as not one man came to her defense. You now have your equality feminist. Deal with it.
