Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:01:16 PM EST

You're Ranger and have been to Iraq? I'm surprised haven't already snapped.

Am I a minor or major threat?
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:25:12 PM EST
Awesome.
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:25:21 PM EST
If your a gun owner you're a threat.
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:26:17 PM EST
What, is that like a bonus prize for spending a year over there, or what?

What kind of threat, exactly? Is this status redeemable for cash or ammo at a participating local retailer?

Details, man!

Watch the video, it tells you what prizes you can get
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:32:25 PM EST
They can't have vets who can do coordinated area denial defending their neighborhood against gimmedat looters in the event of civil disorder. That would be unfair.

A threat to society, or to the status quo?

You can store your weapons in my safe until you are no longer a threat to society.

Bonus prize is ten years in prison, like the guy in the video.

Everyone is a threat. The .Gov is a paranoid girlfriend or ex girlfriend.

Link Posted: 12/12/2013 12:44:59 PM EST
Has anyone ever thought that vets are fed the same stuff over and over to think "Man I should be fucked up because I spent a year in Iraq/Afghanistan!"? It seems like that's just generally expected from us these days, and it doesn't make much sense to me.

Doesn't count when you use a non-descriptive thread title like that.

On one hand, they try not to make the mistake of treating vets like they did coming back from Vietnam and support efforts to find jobs for our guys but yet on the other hand they are labeled as danger to society because of their time overseas. Libs hates the military, lets get that clear. I just don't get those who wear the uniform and support Dems. Why do you vote for people who outright hate you?

Sure glad Nam vets are off the hook. We would explode at

Psychological warfare aimed at vets in an attempt to undermine a President they hate, and a war whose aims they disagreed with. We are now seeing

the same thing as happened after Vietnam. The news did everything possible to paint vets as damaged by their involvement in a war of oppression

against a democratic peoples uprising (i.e. they killed the piss out of American liberals brothers-in-arms .....communists). I recall a study

referenced in the 10 year anniversary issue of Soldier of Fortune that showed members of that generation who served in Vietnam had higher

rates of success in business, personal relationships, lower suicide rates, lower drug abuse and incarceration rates than those who dodged the

draft. Oh, and they get a dig in against the military which, in its defense of America, is an institution they utterly loath.

Duh. The folks who went to the sand box are now very fluent in insurgency tactics. If I were a despotic president, I'd be afraid of them too.

Guy had PTSD issues, VA gave him sleep meds and said come back in six months, later the guy goes apeshit and is armed/ beats a guy badly in a bar fight, 10 years in prison.
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 1:23:16 PM EST
No, that guy's time in Iraq made him a threat apparently.

Guy with some PTSD, beat down on some knife-wielding shithead, got tossed in the pen for awhile for attempted murder. Judge told him his time in Iraq made him a threat to society.

Skipped to the end, where he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. I spent 12 months in Iraq and I really don't use it as an exuse to hurt anybody.
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 1:39:51 PM EST
I'm pretty sure I was a threat to society before Iraq
Link Posted: 12/12/2013 1:47:20 PM EST
fuckkkkk. I'm tired of this victimization bullshit. "I served in Iraq and now I can't function in society." Just no. He would have been doing the same stupid shit (who the fuck gets in fights at bars?) if he wasn't in the military. 99% of combat arms guys out there aren't "threats" to society and this dip-shit makes us all sound like one.
