I would like to have ARFCOM's opinion on why an open borders policy is bad.

Then being "American Citizen" means nothing.

don't know who is coming in or for what reason.

Sovereignty. Will of the people. Republicanism (not the party).

Crime, disease, lack of control, importing poverty, gangs, medical expenses, no legal enforcement...

I think every citizen of a foreign country should have an equal shot at US citizenship, based solely on individual merit. When those lucky enough to have been born closer to the US can circumvent that system it makes the whole process meaningless. Not that the current legal immigration system isn't a trainwreck anyway.

because they would flood in like lesbians at the ellen degenerous show
because our streets would be littered with broken down vehicles
because uninsured drivers would be roaming every street (not that aren't already)
because i am tired of having to walk through stores and scan to find my language.
because they don't have insurance
because I don't need any more illegals staring at my girlfriend
because they destroy good looking trucks and make them look like shit
because i have seen enough nike signs on vehicles
because it is my country, not theirs
because we won't need any more flags on hoods during the 5th of may
because we have tractors
because there is enough theft already and we don't need any more
because they can't drive
because they are destroying the trucking industry
because they are destroying the healthcare system
because they are illegal

Most other countries have a strong lack of interest in law enforcement and scumbags and perverts travel. Always have, always will. It's nice to have a border between them and me.

Open borders didn't work out too well for the Sioux nation. I plan on learning from the mistakes of the past if at all possible.

As long as there is socialism it will create a drain on our resources that their work (if they do so) does not replenish.

Pick one: open borders or a welfare state. Can't have both.

The case for sovereignty is strong as well.

The welfare state is why we cant have open borders.

If people who immigrated here had to work or starve, I wouldnt mind anyone who wanted to come.(other than terrorists or criminals)

I'd support it if the welfare state was denied them or dissolved.

For this reason...

how would we know if they were convicted murderers or noted gang-members or pederists? what about people who are crimminaly insane or infected with serious infectious diaseses?

America will always be all about immigration, but immigration means jumping through a couple hoops, maybe speaking a little bit of the language and being deemed someone who could conciable be a productive member of our society.

open borders is insanity.
