I know this may be ghoulish, but I know many of use have made purchases we would not have otherwise made during the week due to the event on Monday.

These are mine HK-600 rounds of Winchester Ranger 9mm ammo

Planning… more FAL magazines, and some .45 hollow tip ammo (note; I don’t even own a .45….yet), a .308 BetaCMag when they come out, and 30+ ar15 mags such as the P-mag and aluminum body ones. I might also get some more pistol magazines if I can find a good price.

Nothing yet.

The real question is whether non-gun owners have decided to purchase firearms in the aftermath. Believe it or not, I think the net effect (similar to that of Katrina and the Trolley Square shooting) is that there will be *more* gun owners and CCW permits.

Anectdotally, I know a guy who kind of wanted to buy a gun, but his wife felt they were too unsafe. After the VT incident, SHE is now insisting on a gun.

I've been very impressed at how conservative pundits have come out with "both barrels blazing" in defending, and explaining, our need for retaining 2nd Amendment rights after the shooting. Such commentary has balanced the typical reactions of the NY Times and their ilk.

Another four boxes of WWB 9mm Luger 147gr JHP Personal Protection, for 200rds.
Another ATN Mk.440 Gen2+ nightscope.
Final Insight Technologies M6X laser/light combo of three.

Anything else?  A new copy of Joel Skousen's Strategic Relocation, and his subsciption service.  If SHTF, I want someplace to go, and offer my weapons, gear, and abilities for a good place to settle down...  I wore out the old book, and hope the replacement has something more up-to-date...

Carter, out...

Glock 21 .45acp 13rd Mag  GLO421             3   16.99

When I bought my Glock 22 back in 1999 I picked up 2 used 15rd magazines for it with a price tag of $90 each!!!!  That was the going rate back then.

Anyone who doesn't think a high capacity magazine ban isn't coming down the pipe  is a fool.  Here is why:
The Dems want it and control both houses.
They can blame the deaths of the VT students on them.
The Fudds don't care about them.
Bush said he would reauthorize an AW ban, which contained a high cap mag ban so he would sign it.
The Republicans in the Senate are the only hope at stopping it...and they routinely passed gun control when they were the majority.

A large bag of Doritos and a 12 pack of Shiner Bock.  I need something to consume while I read about all of the 'panic buying' going on

On a lighter note:  I was in the local funshop this afternoon, and witnessed several people buying handguns for personal protection.  Saw a man/wife arguing over whether to get a revolver or pistol.  I nonchalantly told them, "Get Both"
