I'm really unimpressed with the "Sonoma, life+style cargo" pants, I've tried.

I'm looking for something as close to Levi's cargo shorts that I can get.

Levi makes the best cargo pockets that I know of.

Levi makes the pockets in a way that they don't go all buldgy on you. In 2 years I have not ironed any of my levi cargo shorts and they have kept their creases in the pockets and continue to stay tight to the leg without any intervention from me. The Flap that covers the pockets have not curled up or lost their "shape" either. The buttons on all (4) flap pockets (2 rear and 2 legs) are attached to a strap instead of the pocket. So the strap is stitched to the pocket and the strap loopes thru the button. There isn't any velcro to go south either.

Please let these things be made in a pant.

I am in no way affiliated with, or hold stock in (as far as I know) levi or any simular companys thereof.

Any one else love those levi cargo shorts.

ETA: Adding a poll once I get acouple of brands to choose from.

(with european accent) You funny man!

Just looked around on the net. ---not talking about levi calvery cargo shorts---

ETA..

I just found the pants style cargo I'm looking for
www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=204024&CategoryID=91&LinkType=EverGreen
You can zoom in on the pockets on the side and see the stitching that makes the cargo pocket work so well.

Hope I can find those suckers in KY.

The NRA said Levis was or is, incredibly anti-gun.

Fuck 'em, I'll cover my ass with some one else's product.

Point me to a better product. I didn't know that they were anti gun. I'll be glad to find a different brand. That is why I posted here. Just like the leatherman issue that I didn't know about, I guess.

I've been looking for facts on the Levi thing but can't seem to find any. Can someone point me to a reputable source of FACTS?

Let me in on the joke. I must not get it?

I get it, you don't do your own laundry to you. You suffer with a woman and she irons all your cloths for you.

AF???

I'm attempting to wear theses pants with collared shirts. I'm in an engineering firm and trying to look the part without going totally militant while staying within the dress code.

Columbia.

Actually hold my 9mm XD in a paddle holster very well.

ETA: Shorts are some kind of nylon with mesh pockets, so they dry really fast.

Pocket flaps stay where they are supposed to. Also has a built in nylon belt thats very sturdy.

The Carhartt cargo's are the best I've tried.

Brands added to poll.

Thanks for your opinions. Any brands that you hate. Any reason why you like the ones you do over any others?

Anyone here have to do their own laundry at 30 and appreciate a well made pair of cargo pants?

I like Cabelas Lakeside Cargo Pants Here

They're pretty lightweight, which makes them nice for warmer weather.

They also offer them in long inseams, which is good for tall folks like myself.

They supported Kerry in the last election cycle.

I like Lee Dungarees

ETA: Cabela's has BDU pants in their Master catalog that sounded decent but I've never tried them. Anyone had experience with them? They'd fit your bill for not looking militant as they come in solid earth tones.

Columbia supported John Kerry in 2004 as a part of his "Sportsman's Coalition". I also avoid Levis as much as possible. They aren't made in the USA anymore.
