What is your favorite ice cream? Maker, Name and brief description.
Blue Bell's Carmel Sunday Crunch
Vanilla ice cream, carmel poured throughout and crunchy graham cracker like chocolate things
OOOOOOOOOOOOO this is some good stuff!
|
|
|
Blue Bell of course. The best I ever had (and have never seen it since) was "Apple Pie" ice cream. I SWEAR it tasted just like Apple Pie a la Mode.
I also love The Marble Slab's cinnamon ice cream. Oh yeah....

Careful what you say here guys, this could be a trap.
|

No Sir, no trap. We talk about everything else so why not?
You gotta admit, a good bowel of ice cream really does hit the spot?
I can hear my Blue Bell calling from the freezer as we speak..............

Store bought;
Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby, Chunky Monkey and Cherries Garcia.(politics be damned)
Local;
A stand in Akron by the Fulton (municiple) airport on Triplett Blvd. called Stricklands. The best and most unique soft serve ice cream I have ever had. It is the smoothest and creamiest ice cream imaginable. It is impossible to describe, you have to experience it.

chocolate chip used to make my famous homemade chocolate shakes!!!
YUMMMIEEEE! Especially on a hot day in the desert!

|

Haagen Dazs COFFEE Ice Cream!!!!!!! The best!!!

Although, any ice cream made at home is better than store bought.

HAAGEN DAZS COFFEE here too.
Andrew, we might be long lost brothers!
This ice cream to me is the richest and tastiest substance on earth. Milk, sugar, cream, and pure coffee---good and simple, nothing else.
There is beauty in simplicity!

Best I've ever had was Blue Belle Strawberry Cheesecake. I don't even like strawberries but this stuff was delicious!!!

That Choco Taco looks pretty tasty, but used like Crystal "Tin Roof Sundae".
I don't buy ice cream anymore, because it doesn't look like the picture on the box. It used to have chocolate fudge and goo just like the picture, now it is almost indistinguishable from plain vanilla. It sucks to look at the picture on the box and get your mouth watering, and then find out that the contents is just vanilla with 1 drop of chocolate (if you are lucky).

My favorite is Chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream - my own recipe:
2 eggs (I use fake)
1.25 cups of sugar
5 oz baking chocolate
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup milk
.25 - .75 cups of Bailey's Irish Cream
dash salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
|
|
|
Mint Chocolate Chip
|
|
|
I like Spumoni & Peppermint varities, but it usually only a seasonal thing. My favorite brand is Dreyers.

Yeah, Hoggin Dogs is good. My fav. is Stater Bros. Vanilla.
No, I'm not insane. I just don't ever bother eating icecream. When I do, generic vanilla.

I hope you meant BOWL and not BOWEL!!!
ERR, yes, you are correct. I meant Bowl in stead of Bowel. That would really suck a bowl full of bowel. Thanks for the spell check!!!!

I've never heard of Blue Bells. Is it a regional product?
I usually buy ice cream only when it's on sale, and then never the real expensive brands. Baldwin's New York Cherry, and Dean's Peppermint and Dean's Glacier Mint are my favorites.
Who else puts their bowl of ice cream in the microwave, for about 10 seconds before eating?

Dove Bars, Milk Chocolate over Vanilla Ice Cream.
Tillamook Brand, Brown Cow, Vanilla Ice Cream with bits of Chocolate in it.

Next time you go to Yosemite, get a scoop of Moose Tracks at one of the stores. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate peanut butter cups swirled with fudge. Damned good!

I like pistachio, but whenever I eat ice cream it gives me the shits.

Blue Bell is a Texas made tradition. Made in Brenham, TX. Began in the early 1900's (If I remember correctly), the creamory still stands and there are tours of the plant. I love the town and can't wait to move back. It is shipped out and can be found in other states, I think primarily in the south.
Probably one of the best grocery store provided ice creams available anywhere. The selection is awesome at any store who carries it, plus they have seasonal flavors. That are really outstanding.

Talyn, I love the huckleberries, but not in the ice cream. The wife makes great huckleberry pies and then I put a couple of scoops of Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream on top of a huge slice. Oh no, I'm breaking into a sweat, my hands are shaking....maybe I can wake her up to make me a pie tonight....not.
