Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - You know... in a parallel universe right now...

There is an internet forum where all the users are using tablets to actually hand-write out their topics and responses. And their writing is highly legible, all nice and neet, but takes longer to read. But the flames are a lot funnier because their writing gets all erratic and shit.

And in that universe I had not downed 3 guinness draught in 15 minutes as well as some tokey tokes before typing this

I see where you're going with this concept, and I like it.

Everyone uses web-cams to post JPGs of their tablet scribblings.

Occasionally, someone reverses their scribblings by aiming their web-cam through a mirror, with predictable hilarious results.

Then, someone gets the idea of reading their tablet scribblings into a microphone, posting the audio as an MP3 file.

Finally, someone else gets the idea of pointing the web-cam at their lips while they're reading the contents of the tablet scribblings, instead of sending the audio file. This latest refinement is favorably received only by the forum members who are avid lip-readers; everyone else moves to a different forum.
