I have to admit, I am not so keen on a lot of the infringements on civil liberties these days, but I love to hear bleeding hearts like these snivel about what Bush is doing. After all, we had to put up with Slick Willie for 8 years. |

believe it or not, many "liberals" are just as afraid of losing their rights as "conservatives" are. they may disagree about exactly who is the enemy, and the methods to combat them, but they are not all neccessarily evil.
nor are they any more monolithic in their beliefs than "conservatives" are. they disagree about issues like abortion, capital punishment, separation of church and state and gun control just like any other point on the political spectrum, and blindly assuming that someone who agrees with you on one issue will agree on all others is a mistake. we should be finding ways to encourage common ground wherever we find it. torf just found a mother lode of potential RKBA converts. let's invite them to the range. |

the "patriot act" and all the other crap coming down the pike will be with us under liberal dem administrations as well as this one. I probably won't like them then so I sould'nt like them now.
