A buddy of mine farted last night without making a sound, and then asked me "Do you smell smoke?". Of course I sniffed and about lost my stomach. Shithead!

You can in a noisy airplane.
Interesting fact: At about 7-8,000 feet the pressure drop is just enough to bring out the gas in almost anyone. You could almost set your altimeter by it.

How true!

I remember watching a special on the design of the 777 airliner, and a team of engineers actually designed the ventilation system in the cabin to deal with this!
