PAYPAL (and EBAY) SUCKS!

I sure do wish some _normal_ people (read: not socialists) would start a service competing with paypal/ebay. So far, every attempt I've seen has either turned out to be just as bad as them, or has been half-assed and failed in short order. Surely _someone_ out of all the conservative/libertarian world has enough business sense and financial backing to pull it off. Right?

Glad I dumped Paypal after they fucked one of our other vendors here.

Hope they show up at SHOT show again this year so I can ridicule and lambaste them to their face.

Cute little fella

Would be pretty cool having a gaboon viper as a pet.

Greeeaaat Nice to know there will be more non-native venomous snakes breeding freely thru Florida. As if wild Florida pythons and boa's aren't enough.

I heard something about Google starting a non-politicial Pay Pal like service sometime in 2006. Pay Pal sucks. They canceled mybusiness account a few months ago when they found out we did  gunsmithing & firearms sales even though we never used it for that. I would love to see Pay Pal and Ebay go under. If Google starts a payment system and a auction it might happen.

My cousin is licensed in Florida to breed, handle and raise venemous reptiles.

He has Spitting Cobra's and Gaboon Vipers which he purchased using Pay-pal.

Ironically enough he was denied the purchase of a synthetic stock set for his AK.
I told him not to mention specifics on the online form, but he did anyways and was denied.

He was friggen !!!

I recommended using venom to exact justice. He just laughed. No more PP for him.
He spends around $10K a year on reptiles. Pay-pal just lost out on a customer.
He is starting a campaign to ban using pay-pal on his reptile forums.

Fuck 'em! We're the ones with the guns!

That sure would be nice. I hope it happens. Hasn't google been accused of having a lefty slant on some of their stuff? Seems like I remember reading something like that a while back. If they do compete with ebay/paypal, I hope they don't end up just turning into the same sort of PC assholes. Only time will tell, I guess. Keep your fingers crossed!

I was afraid of that. It starts to look like anyone who has both the desire to get involved in paypal/ebay/google sort of things and the money to back them up and make it happen has to be a lefty. I wonder if this is because of the bankers loaning the capital and their lawyers? What we need is someone who's independently wealthy and also happens to not be a socialist. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be too many of those folks around.

There is lots of like minded wealthy folks out there. It's just hard to get them involved in projects like a Pay Pal system. I deal with very wealthy people everyday in the shop and you would be shocked  how many think just the way we do, some are even more so called "militant" in their views and thinking then us. The problem is that many of these wealthy people are afraid to talk that way around their peers or co-workers for fear of being marked or outcasted. Some of these people work in very important positions or have contracts with the .Gov and if they let their personal views or hobbies know they would be fired, removed or loose contracts. It sad that it has come to that today ,but it seems to be the truth from what I seen.

Who do you think buys all these $12K+ class 3 NFA weapons?

Gaboons ROCK!
PayPal SUCKS!

I posted a thread awhile aback about an AR camo job in Gaboon pattern. (still working on it.)

Owning nearly 20 snakes myself (none of which are hot), and having dealt with plenty of hot snakes, there is nothing more humbling than handling one of these guys. With guns, you are in control. With snakes, the slightest lapse of concentration can be deadly.

As far as PayPal goes, not only are they so anti-gun it's sick, they will rip you off on fees at every turn. In short, Cash rules.

I've always wondered how much of PayPals prohibited items has to do with political correctness and how much of it has to do with legal and/orliability issues?

If anything, I blame the lawyers for a lot of this crap...

They already have "three steppers" wild in the Glades. FWIW, they call them that because you've got about 3 steps before you fall over dead.

About a year ago, the Fla Wildlife Commission recovered a car struck dead cobra in N.FL.

I think I'm going to import and raise some mongooses.

From what I understand, it's not only snakes but other reptiles as well that are non-native but adapted well to Florida. The Green Iguana comes to mind, as well as a number of basilisks, geckos and anoles that were never native there.

Glad I cancelled my account.

I put this in the comments block:

I disagree with your stance on how you deal with firearms and/or firearm accessories/parts.  Firearm accessories/parts are inanimate objects that can do NO HARM.  Yet you don't mind people buying poisonous snakes, I don't understand it.

There is nothing illegal about selling firearms or firearm parts/accessories.  You are foolish to not let us (firearm enthusiasts) use your service as a medium.  Thank goodness for the United States Postal Service.  Their Money Orders are pretty cheap.

On behalf of all members of AR15.com, you have left us no other choice but to cancel.

Your phobia of firearms should not dictate your policy.  Educate yourself.  I dare you to take a shooting course.  I personally know an instructor that would give you an 8 hour course, free of charge.

Isn't anti-venin insanely expensive furthermore supplies for foriegn snakes are virtually non-existent in the U.S. also many of these snakes will require multiple doses of anti-venin and then you might be allergic to it.
