Yesss indeed. We had our annual corporate State of the State meeting yesterday afternoon. Every year the courporate legal counsel presents some policy-related bullshit as a refresher. This year, his theme was national origin. Bashing a nationality - even the French - is against company policy and grounds for termination. He used the French as an example with all the BS that has gone down with this Iraq exercise. We were all stunned. I hate lawyers.

Simply refer to them as "Cheese eating surrender monkeys" without saying specifically that you are referring to the French. If they make that connection, it's French-bashing on their part - not yours.

I always liked Mark Twain's quote about the French: God made Man to fit between the angels and the French. Don't repeat it at work, though, even though it comes from great literature.
