Surprisingly that domain is available.  OP should buy it and try to flip it to CTD or something.

you would be better off selling your services to grammer nazis, who would gladly pay you money to " fix" peoples screwed up posts..... vs getting people to pay you to fix up their own posts.

I'm not worried much about grammar as I'm GLADE to be alive today from a brain injury. Yes I want to get back on my feet and reach for the sky of dreams.

Probably a hot dog stand or other similar stand.

$2K isn't enough for a lawn maintenance company.

Damn.  Sorry to hear about that.  How about window washing?  I pay a guy $16 a month to wash my business windows.  He just goes down the street to every other building after mine.  I'm sure he's making hundreds per hour - though he's having to travel around I'm sure.

If you have a truck, you could rent an aerator and go door-to-door offering to aerate lawns for $50 a go or so do. Do that every weekend this spring.

You can't afford it.  Insurance alone on said taco stand is ~$1500 for a full year of coverage.  Licensing with the state is around ~$800.

It cost me about $13,000 to get a similar business started.  Not selling tacos, but it was primitive.

Knife sharpening.

Former coworker started just doing our pocket knives and hunting knives. He did a hell of a job and soon was doing tons of work including many chefs knives in town. He's pretty successful. Won't get rich but he does well for a second gig.

Also could do uber or airbnb, assuming you have a car or domicile, respectively
Link Posted: 3/9/2015 2:37:18 PM EDT
$2,000 is very, very little.

If I had to do it - lawn mowing business.  Make a mint around here.  Plow it back in the business and grow, grow, grow.
Link Posted: 3/9/2015 2:39:21 PM EDT
With that money?

Low risk service business. Anything else and you don't have anywhere near enough money to start anything.

Upgrade your regular vehicle insurance to higher liability low risk commercial.

Then do something like yard work, cleaning service, deliveries, garage clean ups, etc etc.... Save every dime and start to hire day laborers ( through an agency to cover all their costs like insurance to reduce your risk)

Build enough clientele to make your steady check then then start risking yourself on larger jobs to get some bigger dollars flowing.

Once your cash flow exceeds your basic needs you can start to grow.

If you are motivated and good at sales (most are not) 6months to a year and you might.... I say might... Make it to 2 years.

Edit:

If your thinking online selling like some have said....

Go hit your local auctions. Small town auctions are amazing for deals.
Saturday I bought a brand new in the box Radio Flyer wagon for $25. New they go for about $100. And they had a few of them.
A ton of stuff was selling for $2-$5.
If you had the time it would be easy to flip on eBay and Craigslist.
