About 100 miles away from yesterdays, near Bakersfield ... the end is near.

The building I'm in must be a complete piece of crap ... it swayed for 20 seconds from a measly 5.0 over 150 miles away! Crap.....

are you serious?

By coincidence I'm going to Reno, but if the Earth roars again tonight I'll be safely in another state. Guess I'll go loaded for bear just in case.

a 5.0....yawn.

anything less than a 7.0 is less shaking than slamming the bedroom door.

Could this shaking be related to Mount St. Helen's to the north? Seems some of the experts think it's about ready to blow again. I suppose any seismic activity taking place nearby at this time would at least be of interest to scientists.

If you look at the recent electoral maps, you will see that California and Florida have been leaning towards Kerry.

Coincidence or sign from God?

crapola bravado.

2.0-3.0 - huh, what was that? a semi go by?
4.0 neato / strike a surfing pose.
5.0 enough to give your dishes a rattle, depending on what type of motion is. Head for the exits.
6.0 will break many things.
the "6.8" in Northridge and its vertical jackhammering motion shucked my 2-story house off its slab foundation. Wracked every wall and door jamb in the house. Broke the windows. Tossed everything in my house like a squad of JBTs had been there. Broke EVERYTHING but my socks.
