Would it be possable to register a SBR (AR) in more than one caliber so at a later date you could use a pistol caliber upper (ie. on form 1 where it asks Caliber/Guage put 5.56/9mm)

No problem.  Actually, I don't even think you need to register it in the secondary caliber as long as its not a permanent change...though it is probably a good idea.  That is, if you register it in .223 only, you can still use it in 9mm as long as 9mm is not the permanent caliber.
