Lilith Starr, a devil’s advocate in every sense, is in a rush to get her After School Satan Club started.
As founder of the Satanic Temple of Seattle, she’s under pressure from national satanic headquarters — located in the Colonial witch trials city of Salem, Mass. — to launch a counter-strike against grade school Christianity by opening an after-school Satan Club. “I think many people have the misunderstanding that we are some kind of tongue-in-cheek troll group,” said Starr, 44, a Harvard grad who sometimes dresses in church robes and, when circumstances demand, paints her lips and part of her face black. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-satanic-after-school-20160928-snap-story.html |

I am fresh out of shits to give. If you make a publicly owned facility available for religious expression for members of one religion, there is no rational justification for excluding members of other religions.

As my kid attends a private Christian school, I don't think so
|
|
religious freedom and what not
if you start picking apart stuff like this, then you're not really any better than a gun grabber |

Last I heard, they're stripping every trace of Christianity out of the public school system. I'm pretty sure that a Satan after school club just isn't gonna fly. And I'm sure that the reasons will be far more than just church/state separation.

Not seeing the problem. Everyone at every age should be allowed to read and think about anything they want, this means not spoon feeding them only politically correct things that they'll inevitably question once adolescence swings around anyways. The sooner they're exposed to it, the sooner they'll come to realize religion is just a country club for illusionists too fragile for existentialism and meaninglessness.

Teach facts and leave the religion for home and to the chosen house of worship. Public schools should not have ANY of it. Nor should the .mil have chaplains but that is another thread. |

If your kid starts going to Satanist after-school clubs....
... it's not the satanists' fault ... it's not the school's fault ... you have failed as a parent. |

I will say that as a product of the California School system, I can remember some cases locally where any christian based youth clubs or activities were being criticized back in the 90s (I think). I'd imagine that Seattle or anywhere else on the west coast woulda been the same. But, I guess that's neither here nor there. Still don't see the devils trolls thing going anywhere, though. Just my $.02... |

I don't believe in the Bible, but as someone who has read it a few times through it seems like that the devil needs a new PR team. He is only responsible for 10 deaths (Jobs family) but is God is responsible for millions of peoples deaths.

My kids are grown and smart enough I would hope they avoid retards
|

Back in 1993, my high school's "Battle Of the Bands"-type event was cancelled and banned due to one of the bands' homosexual activity on stage. That was my freshman year, and we never had this event again because two guys kissed each other on stage.
Now it's okay to have a Satan club. |
|
My kids weren't going to public school for a whole list of reasons before this became an issue.
|
|
Only if they play Marilyn Manson, my 4 year old likes his early stuff.

Sounds neat. Good example on why public schools shouldnt have any religious connections.

Meh.
Probably a better level of instruction with less SJW bias than the kids are getting during the school day. |

Lemme ask my sons teacher if they're gonna participate.....
My wife said no. |

View Quote This. you don't want other religious groups to use your tax-payer funded facilities, you've got a couple choices. One, don't allow any religious groups to use them. Or, two, move to a nation where the religion of your choice is the only State-approved religion. |
|
Honestly, I'd rather have this than the Middle School / Junior High Social Justice Forum that they're offering after school here. That's the actual name of it by the way.

Get religion out of public schools, or allow all of them, all of them including radical islam, and satanism. I think the time would be better spent teaching all kids to be good to their fellow americans. |

Go to YT and search for BowserVids. You won't be disappointed! Strangely, ironically even, the central dogma of the Satanist creed is "Do what you will; this shall be the whole of the law." There is a wisdom in that, if a little simplistic. |

Its just a "HATE ON CHRISTIANS" thing. Has zero to do with love of the devil.
BUT As a Christian I say let them have their little fun. If HRC get in the WH wont be long before folks who want Sharia are a big voting demographic and THEN you'll see these clowns begging Christians to save them when they are lit on fire at school. |
