Got to get one of thems.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 2:50:51 PM EDT
Don't worry.  Someone will buy it.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 2:52:11 PM EDT
These days, you're not allowed to sell something unless it has a story as screwed up as those used by DUer's to explain why lost the election.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 2:55:06 PM EDT
Go ahead and give it a screwy story, but you can't seriosuly expect someone to pay $1.6 mil for a hunk of wood.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 2:56:37 PM EDT
It's alive
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 3:02:18 PM EDT
Well if there were TWO of them I'd be interested.  But I'll pass on the one.

The question at hand here is not whether someone would pay 1.6 mil for a wooden gargoyle but What is the best round for a re-animated wooden gargoyle?

Well we know .357 is no good. It's still standing.

At least it's more feasible than the grilled cheese sandwich horseshit.

Date of production estimated around mid-1700's

It looks like it was made in Mexico circa not that long ago. :)

I'd say it's worth about 1000 bucks and that's being generous.

Maybe I should add some stupid half wit story to my art work??  Might actually sell something.

I'd be pissed if I spent that kind of money and it didn't come to life.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 6:21:55 PM EDT
Some serious art collector or some rich guy will come across this and think that they can not go on living without it.

If no one buys, I might make a personal offer of $50.  If they take it, I'm going to put it in my dorm's lounge

Is that... LENIN? Edit: from the left side, it looks like an arab.

Oh well, in any event, a match should suffice.

Browning .50 machine gun oughta do 'er. If that doesn't work, just keep upgrading your firepower until you need an orbital vehicle and nuclear warhead.

Too much freakin cheese for that pile of shit statue...

but I can say...

GOOD SHOT PLACEMENT!

Them damned .357s aint much better than a 9mm (.355) Ya need a real gun fer them gargoyles.   Only a .45acp will do, hell Jeff Cooper once stopped a whole horde of them damned commie gargoyles with a single magful.

seriously though, anyone listing ANY ebay item for 1million plus dollars is freakin nuts.

Link Posted: 1/9/2005 7:34:36 PM EDT
Gee, $1.6 million? That's all? I guess that bullshit story was a freebee.
Link Posted: 1/9/2005 7:35:42 PM EDT
Let's bring the thing to the range, it won't last a minute.
