So now the precious little snow flakes don't want to have to work in order to receive financial aid.
Cristobal Trujillo, a junior from Bakersfield, California, said he struggles to meet the requirement despite working eight to 12 hours a week at the school library. "For me, it's been kind of stressful to be in the situation of having to give up my time, and seeing other people do extracurriculars, go to office hours," http://news.yahoo.com/yale-students-protest-requirement-aid-recipients-170656314.html |

People used like cleaning toilets just to have opportunities like that.

My job was checking in female guest to the male dorm....
Nit a bad gig twice a week for 4 hours each shift.... That Guy can get fucked...ohh boo hoo your working while others play... Welcome to reality snowflake! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I cleaned office towers, 7 hours a night 5 days a week to put myself through college and that self-important twat is pissing over a few hours.
Once they've had a taste of free shit, they never want to work again.
Cristobal Trujillo's parents probably scrub toilets and pick veggies so his punkass can go to Yale FFS.
there are studies that show students who work through college get better grades and are more productive than those who dont.
At one point in college I was working three part time jobs. I still managed to get good grades, work out daily, chase poon and otherwise have the time of my life. Fuck off Cristobal.
well...
it IS 8-12 hours a week!!! those are some pretty ridiculous requirements! |
Entitlement mentality cunts like this are the reason America is going down the shitter
I have no sympathy for those kind of people. I've worked full times jobs while getting my bachelors and masters.

And here I went to school while working full time like a sucker.

He's crying that he has to pay ten percent of his tuition? At Yale?
He should be expelled and his place given to someone who will appreciate it. |
Fuck Criscoballs. I never worked LESS THAN 50 hours while i earned my bachelors and sometimes it was more like 80. I usually had to take on a part time job just to pay for the tuition and books. Whiney ass bitches!
I paid for Nursing school with the GI Bill, which wasn't much, AND worked 40 HOURS A WEEK as a nurse's aid all through school. WTF is his problem?!
I'll take the job. I was awarded federal work study for school but all of the current openings are held by F1 visa holders.
I'm not working during my main semesters at college, but I'm also going to a college that isn't stupid expensive even though I got into one. Using savings from working during community college and parental assistance with plans to pay them back.
I wish I had a job at the school. |
Fuck him. I worked all four years as an RA, plus drove 30 miles one way several days a week to ROTC at another college, plus taught spanish lab for a semester.
And I had plenty of time for "extracurriculars" including lots of tail. |
They couldn't be that smart if they had to borrow money instead of winning scholarships
...and why doesn't this type of situation really (I mean REALLY) piss of the majority of Americans? IMHO, it just goes to show how truly fucked we are as a country: we are way past any turning back at this point in time.
Just to justify my personal belief (or opinion), I worked full time (not college provided) while taking a 'full load' of class' during the day. On a side note today, I inventoried our families long term storage food and reloaded about 150 rounds of 30-06 today (in addition to cutting word, working cattle and other mundane ranch work [retired now don't you know?] to keep the place up) - work ethic: what's that all about? I know - for grammar Nazis I know it is bad form to end a sentence with a verb but at this point in life, I don't give a shit (noun) ............ |
I get the feeling that once the graduate they may not want to actually work for their pay check either
This is absolute bullshit! Only 12 hours a week? At the library? Fuck him sideways with a cactus! I mopped floors in a dining hall 5 nights a week, worked the counter on the weekends and still had time for fun and tail!
Why should the students have to work for the money they receive in financial aid when others have already worked for that money?
I worked 40-45 hours a week in college.
This fuckstick who probably got in to Yale on a sob story and a diversity pick is complaining about 8-12 hours a week? Fuck him. Especially considering the Alumni connections in regards to job/post grad prospects right out of the gate. |
the financial aid yale students are not equal to the legacy students
I used to work 35hrs a week to put myself through school, and this whiny bitch can't work a whole 8 hrs ....in a fucking library.
but the other students get to go sailing and drive convertibles
I didn't think until I read that article that anyone going to Yale needed financial aid.
I would have thought Yale was full of trust fund limousine liberals babies. |
I worked in a genetic research lab. I loved it.

I was fortunate in college to not have to pay for it at all.
(my parents payed for it - it wasn't 1/10th the cost of yale) I worked every day on my own (between 25 and 35 hrs a week) I NEVER felt like my parent's owed me anything.. I was extremely appreciative during the entire experience.. |
