Something about seeing dudes soaring like Teranodons in such a pretty environment is really soothing. Norway is a helluva country.

If I remember it correctly, one of those guys later smeared himself all over a cliff wall.

Lots of fun, but a very expensive bill for any mistake.

Would it have been too tough to put "wingsuit basejumping" in your subject line?

Do you think you could stop a glider aircraft and take back off?

They're going over 100 miles an hour.

Glider, no. But if the stall speed of the suit was low enough, why not? A glider needs somthing do get it in the air, a human could simply jump back off the cliff.

I'm guessing that there's the potential for a very high price to be paid.

Yep.

Quite possibly the coolest thing ever. As close to flying as man will ever get.

Good quality video, too.

I would love to do that, assuming I don't die of a heart attack while standing on top of the cliff first.

It was posted in a thread here when this vid was posted before.  I can't remember who posted it though.

Do they make wingsuits with weapons mounts on them?

Holy crap!

That's awesome beyond words.    Until you fuck up.

I wonder, what's the best sustainable glideslope you can achieve in a wingsuit, as well as the slowest and fastest speeds you can fly at?

If I were a little more invulnerable,  I might try that.   But jumping off cliffs isn't my thing.
I love to fly, but I want to be at the controls of an AIRPLANE.

that just proves that adrenalin addiction is just as bad to any fix on crack.

This MF'er looks at the camera with a straight face and says "yeah base jumping got boring so now were wingsuit sugarglider flying squirreling our asses down the side of a mountain for kicks"

thats not healthy.

Wish I could do that, but at well over 200 lbs, I don't think they make wingsuits to deal with such physics.

There is a much safer way to do that.
