Just got our Xbox 360 back today.  Had it in for the famous "ring of death" malfunction.

Only problem was that they stated our Xbox was beyond repair and gave us a new one, complete with renewed warnetee.  Only problem is the replacement is quite obviously a remanufactured unit.

It has a cool "Gears of War" face plate, that has the wear patterns you'd expect to see on a used machine.

I'm cool with it, but just seems to me if they were going to give me a rebuilt machine, they could have just rebuilt mine!

Course, maybe I'm not smart on the ways of bizzness..

Oh yea....forgot to add they gave us a free month of Xbox live........now just gotta figure out how to hook it up to my wireless router!

Look at the bright side: the 360 you have in your possession now is covered under a 3 year warranty.

I got mine in January of 06, so it's quickly becoming old.
