That was friggin awesome! I was rooting for the bees - they didn't have a chance. Oh well.

I didn't see a thing that a can of Yard Guard strapped to a bottle of tannerite wouldn't solve.

Those Japanese Hornets are mean little stinkers, aren’t they?

Discovery Channel from last year.

Bet that beekeeper was pissed off.
Link Posted: 5/10/2004 7:32:30 AM EST
Now if they could just find a way to engineer the hornets to only go after the killer bees.

Molon Labe in the insect world?

I found it to be sort of funny, in that they used that "movie preview" guy to narrate and had some very well chosen music to dramatize the action. I kept expecting the narrator to say:

"In a world....." and to see the MPAA rating thing pop up!

Just like Europeans and jihadis.

Those Japanese hornets are huge. I remember seeing them on an old "That's Incredible" or something.

Native Japanese bees kill the Hornets, its the European variety that is helpless!
Link Posted: 5/10/2004 10:31:22 AM EST
I bet if those bees had bee-sized guns those hornets wouldn't be messing with them.

Right click, "save as" and then launch. Windows Media Player should pick it up.

Ouch.
That's a cool video! I wonder how they got that on tape like that...

hmmmm....30 hornets vs. an entire bee hive and the hornets slaughter everybody in hours leaving behind headless bodies and half eaten babies. Awesome. Thats how you win a war!

Where did they get the teeny weeny imbedded reporter to film this?
Link Posted: 5/10/2004 5:01:17 PM EST
Wow did you guys see them just cut the honey bees in half and chuck them aside? Thats what 30 armed Al Queda terrorists would do to us if the MMMs get their way.

I don't know why that kind of stuff bothers me when I ca nsit and watch the Russian solider get his head cut off and not even twinge....

I must be fucked up....

And that was staged. How else would they have had cameras in the right bee house?

Pooh needs to arm his little friends!!
