It may have something to do with the fact that whenever they simply lock the thread other boards make fun of the perceived over-moderating that goes on around here.

Sometimes there is a little over-moderating being done and I don't think threads should just disappear unless there is something illegal in them.

Well, I'll throw my .223 into this and then let it lie....

I recognize that some material is perhaps a bit too much for the site, and that's fine. It's not our house anyway. But I think trashing them is a bit much, no? Can't we just edit out the pic? Is it a simple matter of one click is easier than a few more?

And Red_Beard's question has merit. We've got blown-up terrorists, disasssembled deer, and all sorts of similar stuff. Why not this?

Again, I'm not going to raise a stink, but it seems as if this is something the mods and staff should get together and hammer out into something that makes more sense at first glance.
