Because someone with an obscene amount of money wanted to have the biggest gun. .700 Nitro Express wasn't big enough.

ETA-it's legal, and someone who could pay wanted it. That's enough for me.

You could use it to hunt squirrels on the ground.

No bullet damage to the squirrel.

You hit the ground just in front of/under the squirrel and the exploding ground will kill the squirrel.


ETA: Would like to see the effects it has on a target .... say a one gallon jug of water ..... or a massive watermelon.
