Too much risk for collateral damage IMO. One hell of a one shot stop though. "We found a boot with a foot in it, oh look, an ear" |

what you need
(and this is HIGLy sensitive info...) is a distraction round. a primer with tightly packed colored streamers. Modeled after the 'party popper' a distraction round will disorient the subject rendering them confused if they are in an emmy awards ceremony or a gunfight. I can get you the NSN, just let me know and your supply can hook you up. |

I think 1st round blank is a bad idea.
1) Typically, you can only fire your weapon if you believe your life is in immediate danger. 2) loading a blank shows intent to use your weapon to simply "frighten" the intruder (instead of responding by neutralizing a lethal threat) and intent to "frighten by firearm" will typically end badly for you, in a legal sense. 3) If your life really IS in danger, you may not have a chance to get to that "live" 2nd round before you're dead. just my opinion, YMMV, etc etc. |

I heard tanks in WW2 sometimes used paint rounds to scare off the Germans. Maybe you can find some paint rounds. If it scares off Nazis then it ought to work with criminals.

I always replace the paint with bad heroin. You get a huge white cloud on impact. The heat cooks it up nicely. Then there's a few minutes of loud music and glow stick waving, then we police the bodies. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

No, they don't if you are going to point a gun at some intruder, then you shoot to kill, plain and simple! If you don't have the balls to do what needs to be done to defend yourself and your family, get rid of your guns and accept being a victim View Quote |

To prevent lawsuits, I carry an airsoft pistol in a cross draw holster. If they are still determined after that, I always have my .500 on hand. I don't like using blanks because they are too loud in a self defense situation. Just my .02.

Parody thread.
Best first round would be a flame thrower. Burn 'em to death and the house with it. |
|
|
The .500 is only so I can get to my .338 and plate carrier I keep in my saddle bags.

Bad heroin? So you save the good heroin for your own use and shoot the bad heroin at intruders? I'm thinking that might be a DEA violation. Better be careful. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

People have been killed with blank loaded firearms before. Depends if you want to take the chance.
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/jan/24/bliss-n-eso-shooting-johann-ofner-killed-by-gun-that-was-loaded-with-blanks Gold Coast man Johann Ofner was fatally wounded when a prop gun “loaded with blanks” was fired during the final scene of a Bliss N Eso video involving only professional stunt actors, the hip-hop group’s management has said.
Ofner, who died from chest wounds on the Brisbane set of the video clip on Monday, had been hired by an accredited stunt company, the band’s management said. The company had engaged a licensed armourer who was on location to monitor the prop weapon, it said. View Quote |

No blanks, keep your rifle loaded with regular ammoz. What you need are flashbangs. Maybe stingball grenades. Maybe M67 frags. JDAM would be best tho.
