My vote goes to the Springfield "X-treme Duty" line of pistols. I understand that they wanted to rename the HS2000 when they started importing it, but "X-treme Duty" is a little cheesy. They might as well call it the UT(Uber-Tactical). I'm not sure what's worse the name itself, or the fact that they used the X-Games style spelling in an attempt to seem "edgy."

I thought that maybe you were under the impression that Beretta was named after the Chevrolet.

Kimber. Not the company name itself, but the dozens of idiotic xxxxx-pro names they create for their products.
Example - Their magazine is called a Kim-Pro Tac-Mag .

So how is Beretta a dumb name?
Just another guy naming a company after themselves like Browning, Ruger, Glock............

i dont have so much of a problem with the name, but with how it's displayed on the gun. look at a Taurus 24/7. Ghey name to begin with, and then they laser etch it all down both sides of the slide, and then cram the warning on there too. So much for less is more

You bring up a good one here. For some reason, whenever I hear "Raging Bull" it reminds me of the catchy phrase "Flaming Homo."

Dissapator is a stupid name, I agree.

And Bobcat sounds stupid with Todd, but I like the name when it refers to the Beretta line of small pistols, Tomcat, etc.

And the 9mm haters could pick on Browning & FN to call the GP-35, a Hi-Power.

The Wilkinson Linda carbine takes the cake in my book.

No offense intended to anyone named Linda, I just don't think it's good name for a gun.

How about Kel-Tec's SUB-2000? The name is as ugly as the rifle.

Although a cheap rifle that shares your pistol mags and is reliable is a good idea as a range toy and a backup rifle for SHTF.

i'm picking one up this weekend. the name is a little cheesy, but you can't argue with a 9mm carbine that takes the same mags as your favorite pistol, and oh by the way you can carry it in a brief case of gym bag

Actually llama guns are Spanish and pronounced Yama.

They still suck though.

1.Kimber's "Warrior".

It is particularly unfortunate because it seems to be a very capable firearm that is cursed with some idiot wannabe name forever emblazoned on its slide like a badge of shame.

2. The Mateba

3. The Vektor CP1 (It should have been named the Vektor Pile of Crap 1)

4. Taurus typically has bad names. "Raging bull" "24/7"

The absolute worst naming in the gun industry, however, happens to be used by the EXTREME SHOCK ammunition company. With such winning names as:

Explosive Entry "Fang Face" Enhanced Penetration
Air Freedom Round
"Shaped Charge" for the M16/M4 Assault Rifles

Etc.
