Which acting technique sucks more: Kirk or Caruso????
Link Posted: 5/20/2005 9:35:12 AM EDT
Both are equally horrid. Just bad in different ways.

I know what you mean.....

I think Shattner's sometimes a pretty funny guy though.

I watched all the Star Treks in their day. Watched maybe one episode of Miami CSI. We should support the New York version for our buddy Gary Sinise.

Shatner is a ham, but Caruso is just a bad actor.

I heard an interview recently with Shatner. He said that he developed his staccato style line delivery while working live theater early on in his career. While doing a interpretive version of Shakespeare, he noticed that people were bored with the pedantic rythym and meter and were leaving. He decided to break up his lines and emphasize the wrong syllables and words. It held the audienced attention and got him his break in showbusiness.

ooh, caruso is in the lead!

Funny, out of all the CSI "head honchos", I prefer Caruso. William Peterson is just kinda blah, and I don't like the vibe of NY for some reason. I can see why some folks don't like Caruso, I suppose. I've seen him in other stuff...I don't think he's horrible, just kinda limited.

CSI: Miami is the only one I watch on a regular basis, though.

Shattner you gotta love becuase he doesn't take himself too seriously these days.

They are both bad, but atleast Shatner can be funny.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can possibly top Shatner's interpretation of the song ROCKETMAN!

But to be fair, we have to have a clip of caruso singing to judge on the same criteria.

Caruso makes me cringe.

Kyle: "Ike! do your impression of David Caruso's career!" (jumps from UFO)
"Kick the baby!"

They were interviewing him on Opie and Anthony and when they were recording this stuff in the 70's they apparantly were serious about it.

That was a great rendition...in fact a classic in my book. But it needed something. Perhaps more COWBELL!

Caruso never holds his head up straight, He is always looking at the ground at the beginning of each scene. Then he looks up at whoever he is talking to and cocks his head at a funny angle. It is painful to watch him!!!!

I can't stand Horatio Cane/David Caruso he swears he's a bad ass. William Shattner is funny without trying to be.

Spock........i......can't......find.....my chair......where.....is.......my.....chair?.......

William Shatner is at least entertaining. The other guy is worse because he's forgettable.

I don't care for Caruso at all, but Shatner I like, at least he can goof on himself.

I like watching old Star Treks.

I tried watching one episode (each) of the CSI shows and thought they were excreble.

Yeah, he bagged all the green babes.

What's Caruso done? Besides suck that is.

Caruso couldn't act like he was in pain if his ass was on fire.

His presence ruined "Proof Of Life" even with the good scenes of rebels getting shot up with an M249.

It's official, EVERYBODY thinks David Caruso sucks.
(except for Fenian)

Anyone ever catch Shattner on The Family Guy?
