I know what you mean.....
I think Shattner's sometimes a pretty funny guy though. I watched all the Star Treks in their day. Watched maybe one episode of Miami CSI. We should support the New York version for our buddy Gary Sinise. www4.army.mil/ocpa/print.php?story_id_key=5746 |

Shatner is a ham, but Caruso is just a bad actor.
I heard an interview recently with Shatner. He said that he developed his staccato style line delivery while working live theater early on in his career. While doing a interpretive version of Shakespeare, he noticed that people were bored with the pedantic rythym and meter and were leaving. He decided to break up his lines and emphasize the wrong syllables and words. It held the audienced attention and got him his break in showbusiness. |

Funny, out of all the CSI "head honchos", I prefer Caruso. William Peterson is just kinda blah, and I don't like the vibe of NY for some reason. I can see why some folks don't like Caruso, I suppose. I've seen him in other stuff...I don't think he's horrible, just kinda limited.
CSI: Miami is the only one I watch on a regular basis, though. Shattner you gotta love becuase he doesn't take himself too seriously these days. |

Caruso never holds his head up straight, He is always looking at the ground at the beginning of each scene. Then he looks up at whoever he is talking to and cocks his head at a funny angle. It is painful to watch him!!!!

Caruso couldn't act like he was in pain if his ass was on fire.
His presence ruined "Proof Of Life" even with the good scenes of rebels getting shot up with an M249. |
