Hitlery having a come apart sealed the deal for me.

Burn `em.

The MSM and the .gov sure gives more a fuck what the world wide ROP think than what we think, don't they?

You can burn a flag as freedom of speech but you cant burn a book?

Burn baby burn
Link Posted: 9/8/2010 2:54:37 PM EDT
I'm going to start signing checks with an apostraphe stuck somewhere in the middle of my first name for no reason.

Other than that:

Real life Eric Cartman wants to piss people off by burning their sacred book. Everyone else gets all emotional and pissy. Blah blah blah blah...

Maybe I have sociopathic tendencies or something. This stuff just doesn't upset me one way or the other.

Total hypocrites.

Still... we should be the example and set the standard by which to live... not allow them to.

The 'they will hate America more' line is old. ON 911 a certain group was dancing in the streets (literally BTW) here in my own country.

Its just any excuse to be offended and play for the sympathy card.

If those assholes in DC or any place else say it is ok to burn the US FLAG then they need to shut the fuck up about a book.

Burn it in a big way. Fuck them. Cook some bacon on that mother fucker.

Consider this for a moment:

The same folks who are astonished that a vocal portion of America is against the Victory Mosque and bloviates on the peaceful ROP and our need to be understanding and diverse, are gnashing their teeth when it is as "non mainstream" Christian outfit doing something offensive?

I think that the burning of another's religious holy book is distasteful, yet I can't get wound up over it.

I have to wonder if they would give coverage to the Muzzies burning of the Holy Bible?

As I said when the mosque was proposed for NYC - you have no right to be free from offense or insult, and the government shouldn't be getting involved just to protect someone from getting hurt feelings. Same goes here.

Burn 'em.

It's simple really.

Christianity is the only true threat to Marxism.

As such, Marxists, such as Obama, do not see Islam as a threat. There is a very good reason for that. Note how Marxism is taking over Turkey, Syria, and other Muslim countries.

They all know this.

I don't own a koran, nor will I waste money to buy one, so I will carry a book of matches with me on 9/11 as a symbolic gesture.

The Progressive movement here in the USA grew out of Northeastern elitist Christianity in the 1910s and 20s. Why do you think the "social gospel" is called the social gospel.

I'm not saying that it should be OK to burn the Koran. It's not respectful and I wouldn't do it.

What I *AM* upset about is that these people only get outraged when certain protected groups are offended, but not others.

Yeah. That gets me too. It's legal, they have the right, and I think it is insensitive and wrong. The talking heads in D.C. are just too much though. I don't recall the President or Secretary of State saying anything about Marylin Manson burning a Book of Mormon a little over a year ago.

I'm right with you Zhukov. People burn flags, holy books, whatever and as long as it's American or Christian, the current administration doesn't say anything against it.

... sure... "grew out of" because they distorted Christianity, not because it is based in Christianity. It is in fact Christianity's antithesis.

Intuitively, you should realise that while I stated one case, the opposite is likewise true. Marxism is the only true threat to Christianity.

i think it is distasteful to say the least. i got this quote from someone...."do not argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to thier level then beat you with experience" ok.. im not saying that muslims are idiots. it is their right to worship what they want. But my parents and wiser elders always told me not to stoop to someone elses level to get even. im not a fan of this burning... i also think the media is behind alot of it. the media tends to make bigger deals about things than it should be. so i blame alot of this on the media.

Fuck em...out of one side of their mouth they love the ground zero mosque going in and wont say a bad word about it, but are up in arms about the books.

They are both the same issue, you have the right to do either, but probably shouldn't. They only bad mouth the book burning though.

Burn em

And... in their own words:

http://frankfurtschool.wordpress.com/2008/02/28/summary-dialectic-of-enlightenment/

Note at the beginning of the forth paragraph, "After the Enlightenment, man becomes a master of nature."

That is the cornerstone of modern philosophy. It is both Cartesian and materialistic. All antithetical to Christianity... and not by chance. It is by design.

5) Muslims call for the extermination of Israel
6) An artist places a crucifix in a jar of urine

Add any of thousands of more examples of religious intolerance, hatred towards the US, other ethnic groups, etc. - and I'm not singling out Islam here. The artist that made a likeness of Mary out of cow dung wasn't a Muslim, for example.

I'm getting real sick and tired of the double-standard we are held to. ONE CRAZY "PASTOR" in Florida wants to burn the Koran, and ALL AMERICANS are blamed and are the target of seething hatred - yet WE are the ones who should be apologetic for it, not the people who display the irrational hatred. Everywhere in the world, we are the convenient target for just about anyone who is pissed off about whatever ails them, and we are always the ones that need to change what we're doing.

I'm sick and tired of it. The rest of the world can kiss my ass.

Yeah, and what these appeasers don't understand is if this Pastor is COWED into not burning a Koran then guess what? TERRORISM WORKS.
They successfully used threats of murder to get what they wanted. The next logical question of that is WHERE DOES IT END? The same thing happened in France about 2 years ago, they were gonna ban the hijab in public schools along with other overt religious symbols, guess what happened? 'moderate muslim' jerkbags started saying they were gonna kill French citizens in Middle eastern countries. So now maybe if the USA makes a foreign policy decision that "offends a bazillion muslims", whoops! better hide your head! Whatever you do don't make them angry, they will kill you. Once they realise you are moral cowards and that THEY just WANT IT MORE (meaning victory) they will be able to do whatever they want and all the Socialists, Cowards and Islam fans on this site will be applauding them.

The MSM and these 'political elites' have zero credibility with me on this issue. They are appeasers and cowards. You think they refused to print the Mohammud cartoons out of respect? No, they were just scared shitless and at the same time saying how "mean" the cartoonists were. Like somehow their cowardice has moral superiority. What a bunch of fucktards.

Stoning to death adulterous woman = GOOD

If this isn't freedom of speech, religion, and expression than I don't know what is. Just heard local fire dept. and cops found a loop hole in a law or something and said there will not be a book burned. I just hope the Church has some guards to help protect their freedoms from the Government.

So it's ok if the Black Panthers march

So it's ok if the KKK holds a march

So it's ok if gays march

So it's ok if Fred Phelps disgraces our fallen heros

So it's ok if students in Berkley burn & trample the flag

But it's not ok if someone burns a Koran?

You can't pick & choose which freedoms you support.

Call me when Terry Jones beheads a Muslim and posts the youtube video of him gurgling on his own blood. Call me when Terry Jones drives a truck laden with explosives into a mosque full of worshipers, call me when followers of Terry Jones blow themselves up in Muslim gathering places. Then I'll be outraged. Until then, they can burn the Koran, the Bible, the Torah and what ever else they choose. It's paper, it burns and it harms no one. Idiots like Hillery, & the news media give power to the protest. Ignore it and it becomes powerless.

I agree, there is a great deal of hypocrisy surrounding this. In the eyes of the left (and much of the world):

A crucifix submerged in urine=art

A Koran burning=atrocity

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. This is a brilliant example of the double standard that seems to persist in everything. When it comes to free speech rights, we either walk the walk or we don't. If this rather nutty "pastor" wants to burn Korans as a statement, that's okay. That's his right––and I support it. More importantly, our leaders should as well.

There's a huge irony in the burning, depending on how they got them.

If these Korans were bought, then all they did was support the printers, and spur them to print more.
