Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Woohoo! Just got a job at my school.

A new prof at my school called me up and asked me to be a teacher's assistant.

Pays a base rate per semester + $$/ student I grade.

It's a freshman survey course... you know... those bastards who take up all the history profs time because the state forces everyone to take this course.

Being a TA is one of the greatest opportunities for a college student. Congratulations and have fun! I was a TA for 5 semesters and now I teach the class as an adjunct lecturer! It's a lot of fun, you get great insight into the acedemic world, and you get a little extra money.
