Does Boss Hogg know that you are the reason he's hitchhiking?

(Yes, I know his car was a Caddy.)

How about some info? Did you do the work on it?

It is a 1967 Grand Prix. The only year they made a convertible. 1 of 5,000 made. 400 auto. It was sold new in 1966 in Delaware. I am the third owner. I bought it in Raleigh North Carolina in 2008.

Zero. It is about 85% original.

New top and engine rebuilt and I didn't do that. I have a documentation on it and it is numbers matching.

Did you restore it? My uncle has a bitchen old car he bought fully restored and takes it to shows. That is weird to me, I can understand owning and appreciating it but to show it off and get trophies for something you didn't build is like buying paintings then having an art showing and taking credit.

I fucking love your car!

Childhood friend's mother had a Catalina convertible a couple years later than that.
She used to give us a ride home from school in it.
I love big cars.

That and people who keep it locked away in a vault, polishing it with a diaper every day, occasionally trailering it to it's display spot at "shows".

We recently had "cruisin' the coast" here where ~7,000+ show participants drive around, do burnouts, and hang out with lawn chairs along the MS coast beaches.

This is what our traffic looks like for a week straight.

Nice car.
A guy in town has a convertible that is yellow with white top.
I think it's a Bonneville?

He drives it in all the parades.

when I was a kid ( 1980-ish) there was a guy we'd see at shows with a 1967 Corvette 427/435 with about 300 miles on it. He'd trailer it to the show, drive it in, and park it.
what a waste.

That is way bad for the car. Collector vehicles should be driven at least 1,000 miles a year to maintain good working order.
