Carmen Tisch with criminal mischief after she was accused of scratching, punching and leaning against a painting valued at more than $30 million on Dec. 29. It's a take on the tale of the Emperor's new clothes. A bunch of social climbing snobs with way more money than aesthetic competence all competing to "be way more cooler" and 'avant garde' than everyone else in their social circle. A lot of successful modern art has more to do with various social phenomenon and politics than with any enduring artistic value. |
