Whole lotta WTF here.

Woman claims driver pointed a gun at her.  Police came, interviewed guy, no big deal.  Man claims he only points finger.  Then pulls his gun out to show it for the camera.

Police call it a "pointing and aiming", and is only a misdemeanor if he actually did point the gun at her.

Sound Fishy, but cant really tell anything from the stements.

The way the woman tells it they guy just randomly pointed a gun at her, in my experience this seems a unlikely thing to to for a middle aged man.

On the other hand I also consider it unlikely that she would follow some random guy who pointed a finger of who she could not know he had a gun.

For the rest the whole herp derp about what the gun COULD have done is right up the Brady's street

Can't read it right now, but I can see any confrontation being escalated beyond what really happened if a person was carrying concealed, the other party caught a glimpse of it and  decided to fuck them by calling it in and saying they were threatened with a gun.

ETA: OK, read it, my initial comments don't apply in a situation like this.  I agree with the WTF?

I suspect the truth will never be known, but is likely somewhere in between.

She must have known he had a gun (she would have looked stupid to make the complaint and find that he didn't).

But then MOST folks in Jackson carry guns out of necessity.

But knowing that most women are on their cell phones 100% of the time, and most car windows in Jackson are dark tinted, I am surprised she noticed if he pointed his gun or finger.

In the end, this is just not a big deal and absent a wacko judge, it will get tossed.

Wonder if he had NRA stickers and such on the vehicle?

well, the easiest thing to do would be to ask her, "What did the gun look like?"  But, now the dude went off and showed the gun that he was carrying... so that's not going to be hard for her to say "it's a revolver with wood grips" or some shit.

IF some guy just pulled and pointed a gun at you, would you follow him into a parking lot?

Same thing happened to one of my clients:

Client is a white collar downtown businessman with a lot going for him.

Other driver was a small-time petty thug sack of shit with nothing going for him.

Client flips sack of shit the bird...

Sack of shit calls cops from his tax-payer-bought cell phone and tells the cops that my client pointed a gun at him in traffic.

Cops show up and arrest my client even though no gun was found...

Charges were later dropped by DA...AFTER 6 months and $25k in attorney's fees.

Sack of shit walked away smiling with nothing lost.

Client out 6 months of his life and $25k of his retirement savings.

Some world we live in...no wonder sacks of shit all vote for obama.
