Just ordered a case of the M193 from Ammoman.. Looks like its getting a good overall review here. Sure wish the SA stuff would come back though I'm down to two battlepacks.

I've never had any issues with Wolf.

Use 7.62x39 in my SKS, never had a failure.

Have used various handgun calibers as well, never a problem.

A few hundred rounds of .223 through my CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar, flawless.

And after reading the reports here, I don't have any qualms about trying it out in my new Bushy on its first trip to the range.

More concerned with what happens dealing with Ammoman after reading about the bullshit that went down with him.

Anybody know if there's any truth to the rumor that they're thinking of making 6.8 ammo?

I have bought my first and last case of Wolf. And no it's not the guns.

This happened the other day after about 120 rds of Wolf. Started getting stuck cases. Went back to brass, this was a bright and shiny brass case. Dug out all kinds of black/purpleish goo from the bolt.

ETA: This is in no way a study on Wolf ammo. Just my expierence with it. Seems after the gun heats up it melts the goo on the casings.

YMMV

ETA II: My bad I thought he was talking about regular Wolf not the new brass case Wolf.

Wolf is great ammo if you like spending more time cleaning and cussing.
Sorry, Wolf is filthy.

I use Wolf in all of my MG's (both semi and full-auto) with zero problems:
- .223 in my M16 Commando
- .308 in my Beretta BM-59
- 45ACP in my standard-UZI
- 9MM in my mini-UZI

YMMV

I've never had to clean an AR after only a couple of hundred rounds.

Read the story again. After shooting Wolf and having stuck cases. I went back to shooting brass ammo. This case stuck. Shows the black goo pretty good on a brass case.

The Wolf M193 is brass cased. Not laquered steel.

How much for a case?

Every ammo is going to have its problems one way or another. Ive ran well over 3000 rounds of wolf through my AR in the last year.

Dirty?? yes.

Failures?? not one.

My rifle is a tool. Putting holes in paper, wood, and anything not flesh Wolf has done the job well for me and at a decent price. If you dont enjoy cleaning your rifle, dont shoot Wolf ammo. Thats my experience anyhow.
