ride the lightning and puppets are my fav. Justice has a harshness about it that makes it hard for me to listen to for any length of time. Might be the scale most of the vocals are sung in. Gets old fast.

I always get a kick out this. People get so buttburt over the nabster thing , yet cry buckets over the FSA.
Ironic.

Ummm, because hating on them for that made a lot more sense when I was in highschool/ a young adult before I really knew what responsability REALLY is?  Now that you put it like that it's like a lightbulb going off...

Ugh... whatever Metallica is pussies!

Respectfully disagree. Appetite for destruction ranks easily in the top 5 of all time easily tops in the 80's. Not one person on Metallica can best his GNR counterpart and I'm not even an Axl fan.

I am quite the Metallica fan, but I agree completely. That being said, I would love to punch Axl in the fucking head for destroying one of the best bands in rock history

Now THIS ^^^ I can agree with 100%...

Should have been AT LEAST 6-8 great albums out of GNR.

I didn't mind them going after Napster until Lars admitted in an interview (with Maxim?) that he downloaded music illegally on a regular basis after the court case ended.

That would be considering that Axl could sing as well live as he does in a studio where you get a million takes.  To me a true sign of talent is how you pull it off live and for that very reason Axl is a turd.

anywho a few years later but this was a bit more my speed around that period of time.

I actually got to see GNR open for The Cult in Austin about 4 months before Appetite For Destruction was released. Axl hit every fucking note, sounded great!!

But none of us had ever even heard of GNR, we were there to see The Cult. About halfway through their set someone launched a beer can that hit Axl square in the nose. Blood just sprayed, I'm sure it broke his nose. He took the bandana off his head, wiped at his nose and just kept on like nothing happened...

The Cult!  LOL totally forgot about those guys.  I Imagine the Cult also knows about unruly fans.  They got some attitude from Metallica fans in my neck of the woods.  If Axl was good live it happened well before I saw him.  Jack Daniels and packs of cigs can kill those vocal chords.
