Look at the taxpayer funded Muslim school that will be opening in NY or CA.

one of those states , because they said they wanted a Muslim  school .

And also the board of directors are Imams.

Imagine if another religion wanted a Taxpayer funded school that also taught
that particular religion in that school.

Given muslim's spectacular ability to shoot themselves in the foot with ridiculous statements, I'm pretty sure a political backlash would ensure that (radical) Muslims would be kept in the dark in the US.

The government, media, etc are pretty inpenetrable to radical muslims.  sure there are liberals who wish to protect muslims much like they protect everyone... but if burqas, beheadings, or assasinations entered the picture, it would shift attitudes towards radical and moderate muslims dramatically.

Right now, we don't seem to hold moderates to the "you're with us or against us" standard very strongly...

When you think about it, the first islamic fundamentalists would go after would be the gays, the loud mouth feminazis, jews, groups that make up a large part of the democrat base.
