F**k Madison! Those commie pigs! I work for the railroad that runs there....they banned us from whistling because of TWO PEOPLE that bitched constantly!!!!! One woman verbally assaulted a crewmember at a crossing after stopping the train with her car (slow speed track), and one time she showed up at the yard office and raised hell until the cops came and arrested her. Since the ban, (about 3 months ago) we have had three car vs. train wrecks just in Madison, one on the other 500 miles of railroad. Gee go figure!!!!!
They want to and are currently trying to "railroad" us into relocating our main line in such a way that we would have to negotiate a very tight curve with big heavy trains, increasing the chances of derailment, and also taking away most of our storage track to hold coal cars for the big MG&E coal fired generating plant so our costs to service them would effectively double. FOR A PARK. Yes, a park, that would be 2 square blocks, with railroad still running next to it, that they say is "for the children and citizens of the neighborhood", which is graffiti/gangbangerville. It's mostly storage garages and industrial storage! What they are really doing is buying out all the old industry and converting them to condos, and they want to jack up the market. Did I mention they are trying to force it on us, with NO COMPENSATION!!! Other than paying for the relocaton...they are foisting it on us "for the public good"....just like they turned an old RR freighthouse down there into a condo unit right across from the MG&E coalyard, then FORCED them into putting up a 75 foot high, victorian style all brick $2 MILLION DOLLAR WALL ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!!!
Transparent lying fuckers.
I would love to give them their wish and pull it all up, the whole M******ing railroad, and watch/listen to them when they figure out that you would have to operate basically a continuous stream of big, smelly, noisy, dirty trucks up and down East Washington Ave and through downtown to keep the UW and MG&E supplied with coal, or gice up heat and lights at the UW and electricity throughout the city.
(Rant off)
I gotta get to Lodi too, in fact wasn't there going to be a group shoot there?
Inferno, is the Pacific Club still open up there? I heard yes, but I also heard that they closed it down, bought out some big C and W bar, and converted that into the new rock bar. I need to call them, but don't know what is going on up there anymore.
