The ACU's feel like PJ's on much more comfortable. The only problem I see with them is they seem to fade bad. But the are a nice step in the right way as far as a modern uniform, much better than the old BDU's

When the good men we sent to Iraq are gone, the Iraqis will have to step up to replace them.  I wish them well, they can do it if they want.  Iraq has shook the Arab world like a 7.0 quake.

What kind of gloves are those?  Those are lot nicer than RFI issue Kevlar gloves that rip after one usage.

Great pic.  Cute kids!

They are the future of Iraq.  I don't give the country much hope until these kids, who will be the first real generation to know freedom there, grow up and start moving into positions of authority and responsibility.  Hopefully they will grow up with a respect for what America did and is trying to do for their country.

Thanks for your service!

My son is over there now (second trip) with 2-8 Inf of the 4th ID.

The gloves are made by Damascus, got them at USCav for 23.00 dollars and some change. They have held up fairly well. Seemed a bit hot, but was isn't when it's 125+ outside.

I think the guy in the back is just heading to the shitter, thats the open door you see right infront of him. The Iraqi version of an outhouse, they all have them here.

That picture was taken on a Presence Patrol 2 days before the elections on Dec 15th.

You mean the NOMEX flight gloves?  Those were meant for light use by pilots and are flame resistant, but not very wear resistant.
Check out the Hatch Operator gloves.  They also make them in a shoter length.  Damascus gloves are a very good quality glove too.

How is that stock working out for you? It's looks well used and seems to be holding up well.

What a wonderful photograph!

I'm certain that thousands of such photographs could be taken every day....but that's not what the National News Media wants to show...

Idunno what they are.  They are Kevlar and Nomex, made by like Southwest Auto Racing Co. or something like that.
We also have "Aviator gloves"....
