I'm going to buy some 9mm FMJ ammo and have a choice between Winchester white box stuff and UMC yellow box. Is one better than other among these 2 brands if price is same?

Both the same to me. Just get whatever is in stock or whatever is cheaper. If they have both & they are the same price go based on which box you like better. [:D]

I don’t recall ever firing the UMC, but I will say that the Winchester white box 100 round pack I get at Wal-Mart seems definitely underpowered.

I have noticed UMC to be a very lite load and not cycle some Subguns. The White box I have seen the same in 9mm AR's but as far as pistol shooting goes either is good.

For the indoor range, I like the Winchester "WinClean" stuff. Shoots straight, and really cuts down on the lead all over the front of your gun. I shoot 40s&w, and 45 ACP...havent tried the 9mm, but I would guess it is the same.

Both are good plinking ammo IMO. Same price same availability... I'd probably go with UMC out of habit.
