I'm down to the last box of Win. Silver Tip .223. I pretty sure I remember seeing some 62 grain on the store shelves before but I'm not 100%. Anyone seen heavier weight then 55 grain before?

Buying this stuff is really getting $$ now.

For varmints of the four legged or two legged kind?

If four legs, stay with the 55 grain.

I have seen 55gr. Win. Ballistic Tip at my Wal-Mart and Cabelas, no 62gr. Win. Ballistic Tip though.

ammunitiontogo.com had Hornady TAP 60gr. (ballistic tip) for $16 or $17 bucks about a month ago. Dunno if that's exactly what you're looking for, but better than nothing...

69grain HPBT is better than both

I would use 64 grain Win. Ranger for HD. The Nosler B-Tip ammo breaks up too soon for HD.

This is for varmint hunting, if I get the chance this summer. I'll look for the TAP. I have only tried TAP .308 so far though.

Nosler no longer makes that CT bullet in that weight.
