Linda Ronstadt was a pretty lady with a great voice, but she is a liberal twit who worships at the alter of Gov. Moonbeam.

Check out Seatrain's version.

Don't know if anyone else follows the band, but Paul Barrere has had to go on hiatus for treatment of hepatitis.  I hope they still have an album or two left in them, though.

love me some little feat, lowell george was an amazing writer and musician.  everyone who ever apprenticed in frank zappa's band was seriously top notch.

as an aside, y'all ever seen the interview with steve vai describing his audition with zappa?  seriously funny & classic shit.

ahh, found it...

"Waiting for Columbus" is, in my humble opinion, the greatest live album ever recorded and possible the greatest album of all time.  Lowell and the band were at the peak of their game, and having the Tower Of Power band backing them up was incredible.  Everytime I hear that sax line in "Mercenary Territory" the hair on my arms stand up.

This.  I happen to like the horns in Spanish Moon best, though.
