Just made and ordered this from http://www.makestickers.com for $4.95. What can I expect? No more tailgaters or just more traffic stops? [:D]

I guess it depends on your local law enforcement. Last time I got pulled over, when I told the officer I was armed he knocked the ticket down to a speed that wouldn't even go on my license. [:D]

nice sticker man :)

You're from Wisconsin; I just left there and moved to Arizona a week ago. With that said, LEO's will up your ticket to the max in most cities (Madison, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Beloit, etc.). The northern LEO's will love it. But remember... Carry in Wisconsin is a no-no under any circumstances. Using lethal force to defend property is illegal as well. Hooray for ARIZONA! Mike

Thanks for the link to that site. The possibilities are endless. With a bumper sticker like that... I wouldn't want to be your defense lawyer if you end up whacking someone in self defense. I've been tempted many times to buy similar T-shirts. With my luck, I'd shoot some knife wielding bastard and end up on the 10 o'clock news in my "PULL A KNIFE ON ME AND I'LL BLOW YOUR FREAKING HEAD OFF" t-shirt.

i would put that on my front door, not my car.

How about an oval sticker with AR15 in the center -or- AR15.com in the center and Home of the Black Rifle in the border?!?!? Think these would sell? ByteTheBullet (-:

that bumper sticker probably won't get you into trouble, but the one I had in the late 70s sure got me hassled. "Cancel Easter. They found the body"

Now what do you mean by that? Actually I do live in the northern most part, so I'm just curious.

Unless it's unloaded and enclosed within a carrying case. This is a legal means of transport.

That I'm not so sure about. I believe it's legal to defend your property once a criminal enters your home. I may be wrong. Obviously I'm not going to shoot some one trying to steal my car. This sticker is mainly aimed at calming down road rager's who follow too closely.

do loaded mags outside of the weapon count as a loaded weapon in wi? assuming they're carried that way right next to the empty gun?

My favorite was "Honk if you've never seen a shotgun fired out of a car window", but I'm not sure I'd actually put it on my car. Cpt. Redleg

Nice!! Good web site. I just ordered one that says.. "Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither FREEDOM nor SECURITY." C.g.

If I am not mistaken, lethal force can be used against carjackers in Atlanta AND we can carry guns in our glove compartments or center consoles...permit not required. Sweet! ByteTheBullet (-:

I live in a very (comparatively) conservative county, and you'd get some looks here. Elsewhere in CA, you'd be stopped.

On Wisconsin state firearms law: It is illegal to carry concealed, which includes a gun in the glovebox (even if unloaded), or anywhere that is 'not in plain view' with the exception of a closed gun case. The 'concealed weapons' laws do not prohibit, say, a pistol on the dashboard, or on your belt, as long as it's openly visible. The penalty for concealed carry violations is a $1,000 fine and/or 90 days in jail. However HUNTING LAWS REQUIRE ALL GUNS IN CARS TO BE ENCASED (which means any form of case (including certain holsters) that compltely encloses the gun). There is no legal requirement for the gun to be unloaded if it is encased ('unloaded and encased, with ammo separate' is the Federal 'minimum standard' method of transportation, for which states cannot prosecute you). There is no WI state requirement for guns to be unloaded (Source, WI DNR). The penalty for gun-in-car violations is a $100 fine from the DNR (gun-in-boat and gun-in-plane violations have progressively higher fines). Also, to USE lethal force (phrased 'capable of causing death or great bodily harm') in WI, you must reasonably believe that you or someone else is in danger of death or great bodily harm. The USE sort of force is EXPLICITLY forbidden to defend property. However, there is no restriction on THREATENING death or great bodily harm, or using nonlethal force to defend property. So you can point your gun, punch, pepper-gas, or tackle someone (this will probably get you arrested in Milwaukee/Madison/etc, but not convicted, as the law only says 'USE'), just don't pull the trigger or hit them over the head with a bat...
