Airsoft products shoot 6mm BB's.
Using anything else is asking for a problem. |

you can surely modify the barrel to shoot different size. all you'll need to to do is exchange the barrel, make your hop up fit it and find an air nozzle of some sort that will fit your new barrel size.
someone has modify a real BB gun to shoot airsoft BBs (6mm of various weight.) not sure how heavy the steel BB is, but airsoft BB is only in .12, .20, .25 etc. grams |

Doubt they will have the force or range since there heavier. But if you upgrade the hell out of the MP5 (ALL the internals, gears, gearbox, spring, piston, and so on), you could have some fun. |
