I know that working parts of a Universal M1 carbine will not interchange with the GI carbines but I am wondering will the stock interchange? ( go to a folder )

Funny you should ask that...

The answer is no, however, with some work, a USGI-spec stock can be made to fit a Universal Carbine. I did this a few weekends ago, in fact. I picked up a really, really cheap surplus stock at the gunshow (looked liked a ROK Army surplus stock), and refinished it.

The stock needed extensive internal work with a Dremel tool to get the Universal action to fit, but eventually, it did.

I was thinking of picking up a paratropper stock and getting it to fit on the Universal.
Well we will have to see I guess.
