Growing up, I never really understood the FULL IMPACT of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was "Pre-DrFrige" days so it really never affected me as it should have.
Fast forward now to 9-11-01 and just try to remember the EXACT feeling you had when those planes flew into their targets, watching it live as it unfolded and the feeling of uncertainty of what else was in store for us at that moment.
How in the world can you explain to your kids the evil that reared its ugly head, the emotional emptyness in our gut? The shock factor that hit us at that moment? Could they EVER understand. NOW unfortunately I can understand the attack on Pearl Harbor better... not 100% like the ones that lived through it.
The opening page on AR15 says "Never Forgive, NEVER Forget" ...
... I will never forget, but will our future generations?
