I posted this in GD, becasue I didn't realize this forum existed. So let me ask the experts.............

Will the fact that the real estate market has already started to and will continue to take a huge dump have any affect on .Gov's Defense Spending?

I have some money tied up in a certain defense contractor that has been hugely successful in the last few years, and although I know that defense is expected to continue to grow, the real estate in the toilet scene worries me.

Should it?

I don't think there is much of a correlation there. I'm more worried about President Clibama in cahoots with a democratic congress.

Having worked for DSEG (TI's Defense System Group) and also Raytheon I can tell you that having a DEM PRES is bad for the defense industry.

+1; Less military activity = less need for defense contractors. I mean, why give a bunch of money to Lockheed when you can give it to poor single mothers on welfare

Excellent point.

Even though this Mfg is also into rockets and space, I can see where it might get hurt in a DemoRat lifestyle.

I will have to seriously consider that fact.
