I have been expecting the Swifties to roll out ads about Kerry's meetings with the NVA and PLF in '71 while he was still an officer in the USN and Americans were dying in SEA.

I am begining to think that this issue is too complex. Some of those in the spongey middle might see Kerry's meeting with the Commies as proof of statesmanship and foreign affairs experience. I think that all the people who hate Kerry already do so.

Right now, we are in the Sell Bush mode.

What are your thoughts.

They're probably timing it for maximum impact. That, and collecting more supporting information, testimonials, photos, etc.

There are rumors the Swift Boat Vets already have ads ready to go on this issue?

Yeah, it's slated for October from what the rumor mill says...

They are probably holding off running them as Kerry is losing fine without their help. No need to open fire unless he shows signs of staying afloat. Rathergate alone might finish him off better than the Swifties could.

Kerry was never authorized as a diplomat to engage in meetings with the communist NVA.

Operating without orders from the State Department, his meeting should be viewed as an unauthorized engagement with an enemy force leadership.

But he was acting as a "Winter Soldier", not on behalf of the U.S. Government.

He was extending an olive branch and trying to find common ground in order to begin a dialogue.

He was trying to stop the slaughter of tens of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese.

He was a war hero trying to get our POWs home as soon as possible.

He did the same thing Reagan did with the hostages in Iran.

I'd like to see a link for proof of this.

The bigger ads will be about the civilians he waxed when they fired up that village.

O'neill talked about it when he was on O'reilly a couple of weeks ago.
